Privacy Policy

Derdiedas collects no personal data, has no accounts, and makes no network requests.

Derdiedas is a German vocabulary trainer that runs entirely on your device. The whole dictionary is built into the app when you download it, so the app has no server to talk to and never sends anything anywhere. There is no sign-in, because there is nothing to sign in to.

What is stored on your device

So that your learning carries over between sessions, the app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone:

• Which words you have answered, how often, and how many you got right
• Each word’s review schedule — its Leitner box and when it is next due
• Your current streak
• Your settings: which CEFR levels are switched on, the current mode, and whether cards flip automatically

That is the complete list. None of it identifies you, and none of it leaves your device.

What is not collected

• No name, email address, or contact details
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No crash or diagnostic reporting
• No advertising, and no advertising identifier
• No location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access — the app requests no permissions at all
• No third-party SDKs that collect data

Device backups

If you have iCloud Backup switched on, iOS may include the app’s data in the backup of your own device, in the same way it backs up your other apps. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy — it is not sent to us and we cannot access it.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything it has stored, permanently. There is no copy anywhere else. You can also clear your streak at any time from Settings → Reset streak inside the app.

Children

Derdiedas is safe for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, that would be described here before the release that did it.
